What sets us apart

Patient-Centered Care: Dr. Pilar Bradshaw leads our knowledgeable and personable team of providers at Eugene Pediatric Associates, which has been named a top-tier medical “home” by the State of Oregon for providing patient-centered care.

This model puts the patient at the center of a team of health practitioners who communicate with each other. We serve as your child’s “home” for primary care, by focusing on prevention and wellness. By providing patients and their families both education and care, this model presumes there will be fewer hospitalizations and trips to the emergency room. Not only does this save you money. Over time, it reduces costs throughout the health system.

To be recognized as part of the state’s Primary Care Home program we had to show that we met the highest standards in these areas:

  • We are accessible: That is, you can see us when you need us.
  • We are accountable: We take responsibility for our community and our patients, making sure they get the best we can offer.
  • We are comprehensive: You get all the care, information and services you need to keep your children healthy.
  • We provide continuity: We develop a relationship with you over time and continually help you learn about your child’s development and health.
  • We coordinate for you: We help you navigate the health system so your child gets the care he or she needs in a safe, timely manner.
  • We are family and patient-centered: We put you and your family first—you are the most important part of your child’s medical team. We communicate readily, and in a way that everyone can understand.

Integrated Care: To address the needs of the entire child—medical, behavioral and social—our providers work in tandem with our behavioral health team to make a lasting difference in the lives of our patients and families.

Newborn Hospital Care: We believe that the doctor-patient relationship should start at birth. If your baby is born at Sacred Heart Hospital at RiverBend, your Eugene Pediatric Associates pediatrician will see your baby starting on day one of life. Each day that you and your baby are in that hospital, your pediatrician will visit you to examine your baby and answer your questions. Within a few days of going home, you will see your pediatric provider at our Willagillespie Road clinic in Eugene.

Newborn Baby Classes: Eugene Pediatric Associate physicians teach a Newborn Baby Class each month through Women’s Care Obstetrics, Gynecology and Midwifery Center. This free class for Women’s Care patients focuses on your baby’s health and development during the first few months of life. Discussion includes normal newborn characteristics, baby care at home, safety issues, and much more. Find the class schedule and register here.

Information 24/7: We maintain a current website, blog and Facebook presence, so we can talk to our parents in real time, especially when there’s a health alert. And we offer a growing resource of YouTube videos to provide important information on all stages of your child’s development.
